We’ve tracked down the lovely Sophie from North & Wild Events to chat all things boho weddings and we think you’re going to love this week’s insider peek into the business of one of our amazing UNVEILED Network Members.

First things first, in today’s feature we’ve covered the definitions of both styling and the concept of bohemian itself. A veritable fountain of knowledge, Sophie’s a believer in flowing fabrics, tumbling wildflowers, glorious greenery, and adding texture wherever possible.

Hey there!

I’m Sophie, I’m the owner of North & Wild Events, a boho inspired prop and decor hire and styling service based in South Yorkshire, covering most of the UK.

Where did your passion for styling come from?

I always wanted to become a wedding and event stylist. I can remember growing up I used to say I wished there was a job out there that involved ‘decorating weddings’. I didn’t know a wedding stylist even existed at that stage, it was only when I was helping Mark figure out how to kick start his photography business that I had a bit of a eureka moment via instagram and realised that it does exist and that it was something I wanted to pursue.

I started small and started to collect boho inspired items that people could simply hire for their wedding or event. Eventually I started to style the pieces and here we are today! Completely self-taught!

What are the main benefits of hiring an event stylist?

A stylist is focused solely on the client and is there to make sure you get the look and vibe you want. We will make sure your wedding is different to everyone else’s. Who wants to be stuck with the same ceremony setup and wedding breakfast layout as every other couple?

Yep, that’s right, call in a stylist! We provide all of the props from our own range or source anything specific you need. Not to mention providing a stunning setting for your wedding photos!
